Travis Rogers - Shocker Mechanical Inc.

All of the products not only purchased, but recommended or manufactured from Canadian Performance Warehouse are amazing! The staff really know their stuff, are very helpful, polite and all around great. It’s always enjoyable talking to either Rick or Bill, always something to learn and likely will when talking to these two. Thanks again for everything, I am always looking forward to our next project to do it all over again.

Here are some amazing pieces that we have supplied parts for:

Jeep

The Blue Jeep is a 1981 Jeep CJ7 with an AMC 401 rated at 400hp, with Edelbrock Pro-Flow EFI kit, BMW Blue Custom Paint, Full restoration with 1-ton drive train components. HID head lighting, custom front and rear bumpers, custom dual exhaust system with Flowmaster super 40 mufflers, full Alpine stereo, SSBC rear disc brake conversion, Powerslot front rotors with Hawk pads, and of course a Be Cool Radiator/Electric Fan Setup and enough chrome and polished goodies to intrigue anyone of any age and known to nab a trophy or two weather it competes in a show n’ shine or the occasional summer 100 foot race. This little “Monster” is a daily driver which often makes road trips from its home here in Camrose all the way out to Kelowna. The owner is not shy to use the vehicle to its full capabilities and usually does just that as if he is driving a Corvette.

Javelin

The Blue 1971 AMC Javelin SST was brought to us in respectable condition, in need of some upgrades. We started with the original 360 which we had rebuilt, added an Edelbrock Pro-Flow EFI kit and mated the engine to a Turbo 400 transmission. In addition the car is still in progress with a custom built Be-Cool radiator and converting the front spindles to late 70’s Camaro along with SSBC Brake Conversion.

Pontiac

The 61 Pontiac Laurentian is the last known registered one in Canada. Much to our disbelief the customer came to us wanting to fit in a big block Chevrolet, so we mutually decided upon the Ram-Jet 502 dressed up with a March pulley set-up and, backed with a Tremec 5 spd. He would have preferred a 6 spd but none were capable of the horse power the Big Block would produce. We followed up the build with a complete for 9” rear end with SSBC brakes, SSBC brakes in the front and updated the front steering. an Air ride Ridetech suspension system front and rear, and a custom fabricated radiator. Complete reassembly would prove the big block was indeed BIG as the hood had to be modified, the transmission tunnel was also modified for the girth of the Tremec. When all was said and done the finished product was both beautifully unique, and even more of a head-turner than ever before on its way to show the world what the talented staff at Shocker Mechanical are capable of when paired with yet another proud and creative customer.

Brian - 1971 Duster

dusterduster

My name is Brian and I own a 1971 Plymouth Duster with a Blown 440 and nitrous oxide. I spent approximately 10 years building my car and figured that it was finished and ready to drive.

When I finally did drive it on the road I found that I had cooling issues. Within minutes of starting the car, the temperature rose quickly to 200 degrees and kept going. I spent the fall of 2007 and summer of 2008 trying to solve the problem. I tried different diameter hoses, restrictor plates, thermostats, carb jetting, different cooling additives and mixes, aluminum heads and three electric water pumps with various flow rates.

Desperate and running out of ideas, I gave Bill Kidd and Rick DuGas of Canadian Performance Warehouse a call in London Ontario. They solved the issue by fabricating and installing a custom aluminum radiator, fan, and surge tank in the car. I can now drive the car any time of the year in stop and go traffic and have the ability to control the temperature between 180 to 190 with the twist of the dial.

Thanks Canadian Performance for the peace of mind and the ability to enjoy my car!.

Sincerely,

Brian Mc Carvell

Killer Customs - 1978 Trans Am, 1968 El Camino

Killer Customs has used the custom built radiator assemblies from Canadian Performance Whse on a few of our high horsepower custom builds including a 78 Trans am with a 700hp fuel injected 572 and a 68 El Camino that is running a 1200hp twin turbo small block. The fabrication is top notch and the ability to speak with someone with years of practical experience is also very valuable.

When you are building high horsepower street cars the last thing you want to deliver to the customer is a car that over heats!
